We are HannaH "Vyborg" Walter and Robert Torche.
We are Chimère Électrique.
We are a trained and disciplined contemporary-classical violinist becoming a cyborg, a vyborg. We are a composer-performer-improviser and electronic instrument builder.
We are a transdisciplinary acoustic-electronic multimedia artist exploring means of travelling as soundbytes and pixels through space and time.
We are becoming tele-beings.
We are a duo and we exist within human-machine assemblages, becoming with the glitch, the noise, seeking the aesthetics of failure.
We are creating multimedia formats and fictions in which humans and non-humans perform sympoietically over distance with each other.
We are building tele-archi - and identitectures, re-writing, re-scripting, re-mixing, re-compos(t)ing, re(con)figuring, re-enacting, re-assembling our identities, values, and artistic ideas through the material-semiotic figure of the Chimera, techno-corporeal hybrid.
Our habitat is „Worlding Mycelium“, a non-binary tele-terrapolis, a niche space for entangled, local-remote, multispecies storytelling, home to transdisciplinary practices, education and artistic research projects and diverse identities that risk becoming-with.
Since 2018 we have presented projects, performances, and workshops with „worlding mycelium“ at internationally renowned festivals such as:
International Symposium on Electronic Art (ISEA2024, Meanjin (Brisbane), AU), HCMF (GB), Spor Festival (DK), Wien Modern (AUT), OUTHEAR (GR), Back To The Trees (FR), Musikfestival Bern, Festival Rümlingen, Usinesonore, Festival Zeiträume (CH).
